Aussie chefs help support Serve Up Bone Strength WOD 2015

In the lead up to World Osteoporosis Day (20 October), Australian Chefs are helping to spread the message that we need to ‘Serve Up Bone Strength’ to support better bone health.

In a new international report released today (7 October) by the International Osteoporosis Foundation, leading bone and nutrition experts outline just how important nutrition is for our bone health throughout all stages of life.

Nutrition for health is not a new concept for Chefs, which is why some of the nation’s most famous culinary stars have joined forces with Osteoporosis Australia. The Serve Up Bone Strength awareness campaign is being supported by Maggie Beer, Luke Nguyen, Andy Allen, Nino Zoccali, Danny Parreno and Lee Holmes, who have all donated recipes that provide a healthy dose of calcium, protein and/or vitamin D. They are joined by sporting legends, Osteoporosis Australia Ambassodor Pat McCabe and Legendairy Ambassador Michael Klim with some bone-healthy snack ideas.

See these fantastic recipes, new consumer guide and key messages from the International Osteoporosis Foundation report all available to the public today (7 October) in celebration of World Osteoporosis Day.
